I remember pulling my mother’s black paper scrapbooks from their home in the china cupboard at many holidays. My brothers and I loved looking at photos of our parents when they were young, in high school, dating and eventually as a young married couple in Central Pennsylvania. We loved reading the short quips my mother hand wrote beside each photo. We tried to identify family and friends in their much younger years. It was a puzzle waiting to be solved and if we could not, my parents were there to provide answers.
Time has gone by and the moments of looking at these older memories have become more and more infrequent. It is inconvenient and time consuming to pull out the albums or slides and projector. I’ve wished for a better way. Thanks to FOREVER I have been able to digitize many of the photos, slides and album pages my mother lovingly put together. It has been a pleasure to enjoy them any time and any place. FOREVER’s permanent storage allows me access from anywhere, on any device. Technology is a wonderful thing!
This fun photo shows many of our Holiday Boxes waiting for digitizing at our FOREVER Box Center. Many sent items in time to be digitized and returned to be under the tree on Christmas morning. I have also chosen to put an empty red Holiday Box under the tree for family members! Yes, you heard that right….an empty box!
